Lil Miss Fitness Freak

"And though she be but little, she is fierce"

More Food = More Gains

Friends! Today has been a really great day thus far and to share that happiness with you I thought I would jump into the link up party

Lovely Link-up created by the wonderful Meghan

…cuz I have been feeling and receiving all kinds of happy lately. Also the ‘list all your achievements’ theme is quite fitting this week.

1. I’m sorry I’m happy while everyone down south is angry AF still post election. But we won’t get into that because politics is just something you don’t touch.

…Moving on….

2. My lifts…omg I amaze myself. The small increases I do with my coach every two weeks are lighting me up like a firecracker I kid you not. I started to wonder why I’m progressing so much faster strength wise now than I was with my previous coach. At that time I was getting much, MUCH larger increases compared to now and, yes, I was progressing, but not at this rate.

I thought about it hard and figured it’s probably having to do with the fact that my system is healing itself now. Back earlier in the year, it was overwhelmed being overfed and dealing with all the health problems (cough parasites..) and so I think that with those dealt with (I hope!) my body is now less stressed and less inflamed so perhaps now during this healing process it’s just going to get better and better.

So those PR’s…Excuse me while I grin like a crazy person…I’m just so happy about them!

~I squatted 4×3, 1×5 135lb back squats this past Friday. Thats up 1 whole set and 1 rep from last week. NOTE that this may small but its actually about 1.6x my bodyweight. My goal is 4×8 by Xmas. Getter!

~100lb DL this morning. DL have always been my weakest lift, so I was pretty damn proud of this lift, especially since I have felt stalled for a few weeks

~30lb DB shoulder presses this Saturday

~135lb Rack pull for 5

~135lb barbell hip thrusters.

~100lb barbell lunges for sets of 8

So yeah, excuse my pride face..

3. Started off my morning right today with news that I had gotten a 90% on my clinical midterm. Once again I was terrified to check because everyone else was spouting about how bad they felt they did. I need to learn to trust my gut.

4. On the topic of marks, 88% for Metabolism and another 90% in Nutrition Assessment ain’t too shabby either.

5. I managed to finish a Clinical assignment in 1.5 hours on Saturday. Holler at that productivity.

6. I have been writing training plans for my housemate and she told me how thankful she was for them because she has never felt so good about herself.

Screen Shot 2016-11-14 at 5.16.02 PM.png

Follow me at @lilmisscross!

Gym = more confidence in everything! Its not just about aesthetics.

7. This will be my 4th blog post this week!

8. I welcomed myself back into vlogging! I’m so happy to be back.

9. I have done the monkey work for my Master/Internship applications. Goals for the next two weeks is to crack down on those letters of intent/cover letters

10. Wrote a leg routine for two people at the gym and they absolutely loved it. I than so graciously received a Tims gift card, which was totally not needed or asked for but she insisted. So nice.

11. I made a peanutty version of these cookies and everyone loved them!

12. I reconnected with a friend who moved away this year (Oh hey Cass if you’re reading this). It was so nice to hear from her and catch up!

13. One of my clients told me that he was so happy that he found me because I have helped him so much. Daaawww

14. Finally took my ass to Canadian Tire to get a spare key for my Dad. Than I got an even cooler key so my Dad gets the boring original…

I swear I am an adult. Can I call it Mighty Mouse?

PS please ignore the U.G.L.Y callouses on my hands…gym problems.

14. Three people have told me that I’m looking strong! I’m growing friends!

15. I left the gym on Friday feeling a sense of complete and utter bliss. I had trained my ass off that morning, hit my squat PR, trained both a client and my housemate and spent 1.5 hours trying to eat my post workout because everyone was chatting with me. I just feel like I’m supposed to be there. I’m supposed to help others and give information. It was a great feeling. Passion, I like you.

16. I forced my housemates to enter the Christmas season nice and early with me by putting these on their doors ;-).. Spread a lil love…

Penguin for me (cuz I love them!), elephant for Em (cuz likewise) and a beautiful Xmas sweater for Rita because they didn’t have a turtle…(her nickname lol)

And with the spirit of Xmas now in our hearts, I will end it here. Overall a great week filled with a lot of great things. Heres to further growth and positivity my friends!

Thanks again to Meghan for giving me a platform to share my successes and happy moments of the week.

What is one success or happy moment you experienced this week?

Two posts in one day, BAM.

So I know that this survey is technically a day late as it’s supposed to be on Christmas Day….but I’m a rule breaker + it was fun and I wanted to be able to share it anyways.

Thanks to Heather at Life in Leggings for this one! To see her responses click here.

I wanna hear some of your responses too in the comments so share away! 🙂

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?

Can I say neither? I’m really not a beverage person per say. I really only drink tea and water to be completely honest. If I was to pick a holiday drink that isn’t either of the aforementioned liquids, I would probably pick farm fresh apple cider.

My new tea mug! Cute eh?

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?

Unwrapped presents?!? NEVER. Presents have to be wrapped to be considered presents in my book.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?

Coloured. I’m a fan of all things colour. Yes white may look more elegant, blah blah, but colour is so much more fun and when your tree included ornaments that are glass, the colour lights bounce off them so much nicer.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?

Yes! I actually was going to say no until I saw it yesterday hanging from the basement entrance. You will get hit with it every night in our house and so it’s good that it’s only required to follow through with if you’re with someone or the wall would be getting quite the lovin from us going under it single file 99% of the time…

5. When do you hang your decorations up?

My Mom does most of the decorating at our house. She leaves the main Christmas tree until I’m done exams so that we can do that together but she outdoes herself every year. We have no less then 6 Christmas trees of various sizes throughout our house and no room goes untouched with a lil Christmas spirit.

Main tree which is where we open presents on Christmas morning.

The Candy Cane tree that is in our dinning room

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?

I absolutely love one of my own dishes actually. My spicy, roasted garlic and rosemary sweet potato mashed potatoes. When I actually make it ( I didn’t make it this year, too much food), I savour every bite and have a lil blob on every piece of turkey HA.

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?

I remember when I was younger, my Nana and Papa would always come over for Christmas Eve before they then showed up the next day for the big day. We used to just spend a few hours with them and open a few presents and it was something I always looked forward to. They don’t come anymore due to it being too hard as they age, but I always remember those kinds of traditions

Another cherished memory is making apple pies for the big dinner with my Mom and Auntie Melanie. We used to blast our Christmas music and literally laugh until we snorted…well until my Aunt snorted. 😀

8. What is on your Christmas wish list?

I don’t really have a wish list but my parents always out do themselves and seem to read my mind when it comes to things I could use and enjoy. LuluLemon gift certificates are always good. 😉

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?

Nope. In fact, the majority of the gifts aren’t even under the tree until Christmas morning.

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?

Lots of lights and quite the variety of different ornaments. There are ones that have meaning (we have two teddy bears that are seated together to represent my parents, my unicorn as it was my favourite animal throughout my entire childhood), we have big sparkly snowflakes because sparkles duh and there are ones that we have collected over the years such as those my Grandma gives me every year.

There are of course the rest which are simply fillers that are plain ones, other angels, non-glass snowflakes and icicles (they pick up light beautifully) and sparkly branches that you weave into the trees branches.

11. Snow? Love it or dread it?

Sorry, DREAD. I loaaaaaathheee the cold (grinch voice). Snow means it’s way too cold for my liking. Send me a picture of the snow and I would be completely happy living in the heat for the entire year. Why am I Canadian?

12. Real tree or fake?

Fake. For one, I have asthma that hates all forms of living plants being in the house if they have a strong smell. At least, this was true as a child, I’m a lot better now. Second, and probably very much related to the first reason, I hate the smell of plants. Is that weird? I think it’s one of those aversion things. If something is going to hurt you, I sometime feel your body tries to make you avoid it. So, floral scents made my asthma flare up so as a result, I then dislike the smell.

So yeah, I’m a girl you won’t see smellin the roses…

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?

Hmmm, I can’t really remember, but obviously my Macbook has been up there in the top favourites for sure. It doesn’t have to be something so expensive to make me super happy though. This year my parents got me a heated blanket for keeping me toasty during the dreaded winter and obviously it was instant love.

14. What’s the most important thing about Christmas for you?

Being with family. No question no hesitation. Everything could be held the same and it would never feel the same without my family. They make the holiday a holiday.

15. What is your favorite holiday dessert?

I’m not really a dessert person and actually never eat dessert on holidays. Call that my ED or not, I just don’t. If I were to have one, it would be ice cream for sure. It would not however be a holiday flavour because I ain’t into peppermint and chocolate ice creams and don’t even think of coming near me with eggnog…gag.

Gimme all of this…

…Which is actually what was served at our house yesterday.

As a kid it was our homemade apple pie. I absolutely adored it and adored all of the leftovers as well. I have yet to have pie since my ED but my stomach also has decided now that it hates apples for some reason -_-. Yet another FODMAP food that it doesn’t like. Ugh.

16. What is your favorite tradition?

Baking with my Mom. Although the amount we can actually do together has shrunk over the years due to me being away at school, we still alway make at least one thing together.

17. What tops your tree?

A lop-sided angel. Hey she stayed up there and didn’t take a nose dive. Ain’t nothing wrong with crooked. We’re short over here mmmkay 😛

18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving?

I really enjoy seeing others open my gifts. I try my best, despite not being very creative, to find special gifts or ones with meaning and so I’m always right there just waiting to see their face when they open it.

19. What is your favorite Christmas song?

I love Christmas music and you all have heard a million times that this CD is the best thing of life…

Favourite song on the disk would probably be “Spread a little love.”

20. Candy canes, yuck or yum?

I don’t eat them anymore, but I love peppermint. I used to love the fruity candy canes as a kid too. Those red and pink ones (I think they were cherry?) were awesome!

21. Favorite Christmas movie?

Hmmm I feel like I haven’t seen all of them so that’s hard but I do love The Grinch (Jim Carrey version!) and Elf.

My parents and I tend to always watch a few Christmas movies the nights leading up to Christmas. One of them is ALWAYS The National Lampoons Christmas Vacation because that’s my Dad’s favourite, and this year we watched Elf on Christmas Eve.

22. What do you leave for Santa?

Nothing now but as a kid he got some of our baking and carrots for the reindeer of course! Got feed the workers of the sleigh and plus the vitamin A for the optimal night vision 😀

23. Do you have a Christmas morning tradition?

We always open presents first thing after I wake them up as I tend to wake up the earliest. Stockings first, then presents and then after that they make their traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, etc. Our puppy always gets her breakfast of eggs as well (but that’s not really tradition because she tends to get eggs whenever they are made)

24. Do you prefer to shop online or in stores?

Stores because I like to be able to try things on. However, if it’s something I know will fit then online works awesome. I have ordered Lulu’s online before and had luck 50% of the time. That may sound sucky but that generally means that I end up having to go into a store to return it and come out of the store with 3 pieces for the one I returned….

25. Christmas letter or Christmas card?

I love writing and receiving letters much better then cards. They are speaking from the heart rather then fitting your thoughts and emotions into a pre-made card.

I hope you enjoyed this lil survey and remember to share some of your favourites too!

Have a great rest of your weekend friends. 🙂

Who’s doing more shopping tomorrow?

Find any good deals today for those who braved the sales today?

Staying Alive On National Shoppin Day

Survival Tip # 1. Don’t go shopping on Boxing Day

The sales will continue on. Don’t you fret.

I kinda went against my rule here because my Dad and I ventured to Whole Foods today…saving my Lululemon raid at the Eaton Centre for Monday.

I thought that maybe that would be a super stupid idea, as I might actually be more at risk at #WholePaycheck then the mall, but I survived and, better yet, it actually wasn’t busy o_O

Guess everyone was either eating leftovers or shopping. Oh well more for me.

They had my purple sweet taters! 10 bucks later on just sweet potatoes is not a problem right?

So happy Boxing Day my friends! I hope your Christmas was amazing yesterday and that you celebrated with your loved ones and enjoyed a lot of good food and laughter.

We hosted the largest family get together we have had in like a decade at our house yesterday. Despite it being a lot of work (the cleaning never ends I swear!) I love big gatherings because my family is so small and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Christmas Day started off as it always does. I get up, eat breakfast, do some last minute stuff (do my Dad or Mom’s stocking, wrap my own present to my parents, etc), go back for a nap because it’s too early to get the parents and poochie up and then wake them up.

Stockings first. Then presents. Maggie was quite a challenge to get a picture of as she was all over the place, wanting to have her ball tossed while simultaneously getting over excited about paper shredding and bow tossing.

My parents then sat down to their favourite once a year breakfast, which was made ON THE GRILL because it was warm out and not snowing. Not complaining! Basically a grand slam for my Dad and a bacon sammich dipped in endless ketchup for my Mom.

The grill makes for the crispiest bacon. #LifeHack

I had my lunch with them and then we were off to the races to get everything set up and prepped before family began to knock at the door at 4-4:30.

I ended up making appetizers that weren’t really necessary as, well, it was 4:30 and dinner was at 6. Oh well, I had fun making them. Pinterest, you always give me fun lil ideas.

Caprese stuffed mushrooms..

…and a random version of bruschetta flat bread.

Shortly after some appie’s and drinks, dinner was served and we all ate like a big family picnic as my parents brought in benches so that we could all sit at the same table.

On the dinner menu included quite the assortment:

~Turkey of course

~The sausage stuffing everyone loved last year

~Garlic mashed potatoes

~My Grandma brought a cheese potato casserole dish

~My Nana’s turnip and carrot mash

~My Mom’s roasted pineapple ham with a mustard glaze

And I was in charge of all vegetable dishes:

~Bacon sautéed brussel sprouts

~Honey roasted carrots

~Roasted asparagus, green beans, zucchini and mushrooms

~Roasted multi-coloured mini potatoes and butternut squash

So yes, lots of food.

My plate.

Then the dessert table came out..

This included our baking and then also included a panettone cake brought by my cousins fiancé Cassandra, ice cream, a Yule Log, aaannnd a fruit cake

Phew. Yeah, can you picture our clean up now?

As much fun as it always is to have large gatherings, the clean-up is always what exhausts you. Can someone come clean up after our parties? That would be nice.

But it was a lot of fun. I’m so glad I got to see everyone and spend the time with them all. I haven’t seen my cousin Cassie in forever so that was super nice.

Me and Daddy

Did you all have a fun and family filled Christmas?

Do you host or choose to let someone else take on that duty?

Top 25 Unknown Xmas Facts

3 Days, 3 Days!

Catchup Time! Today was not so much about errands but I hit up the gym for legs then bought supplies for baking and proceeded to make these gems..

Gingerdoodle Cookies courtesy of Lauren over at Lauren’s Latest.

Super easy to make and they made the house smell amazing!

If you like the spiciness of a good gingerbread but like a soft pillowy cookie, this gingerbread-snickerdoodle hybrid is perfect for you!

Lil fact about me is that gingerbread happens to be one of my FAVOURITE Christmas related scents.

Apparently everyone and their mother is making gingerbread this year as it took me two grocery stores to be able to find molasses. How can you be out of molasses?!?

I digress…

Top 25 Lil’est Finger Foodz

4 Days my friends, 4 days.

Yesterday (Sunday) My Mom and I got the tree up and I totally rocked my onesie for the event. Today, I got my Mom’s stocking shoppin done, booked our nail appointment for our every year Christmas nails, gymm’ed, made some mashed brown buttah potatoes (white for my Dad, sweet with brown sugar as request by my Mom) for my parents dinnah and ran a few more errands.

BTW. If you have never tried adding brown butter to your mashed goods, it adds quite a lovely distinct flavour as my parents gave it a big thumbs up. Super easy to make too, just heat butter on the stove, stirring constantly, until it takes on a dark amber colour. Then immediately get it out of the pot before it burns. It’s a lot more nuttier and can be used as I used it or in baked goods would be amazing!

That is pretty much going to sum up the next few days. Lots of getting ready for that special day.

My lil cousins are hopefully going to make it..

eer… not so lil anymore, Kodey is now 10 -_-..

But still lil in my eyes and I haven’t seen them in forever so I was hoping to make some lil sweet treats for them to have or even decorate as something fun to do.

Anyways, enough about me, onto todays Top 25 topic..

Top 25 Healthy and Easy Finger Foods

…For your Christmas parties or family get togethers.

So this “healthy” means low fat right?  No. I’m trying to add a healthy spin on things that will still be a taste bud firecracker. So richness and bold flavours are still included. We aren’t serving lettuce on a stick here. We still want something people WANT to eat and ALWAYS remember that fat and calories in general are not bad. Half the idea here is that they are finger foods. You have a few bites and then the rest of your precious tummy space is for your dinner. Kapeesh?

  1. Stuffed Mushrooms Caps. Instead of using chips as a vessel of stuffing, why not use a meaty veggie like baby mushrooms instead?1627564.jpg
  2. Homemade Spring Rolls. Fun to make and customize for everyones taste buds. Here are 5 from Women’s Health Magazine.
  3. Pizza Boats. Zucchini makes a great boat for everyones favourite greasy dish. Lil cheese, lil herbs and its portable. Sounds good to me. Parmesan-Herb-Zucchini-Bites-1-e1417587555250.jpg
  4. Mini Quiches. These bite sized quiches are great because they are sturdy enough to not need a crust, but the eggs binding ability can really hold on to what ever favours you want. Check these out if you have some allergies to worry about.
  5. Mini Caprese Bites. Something a lil festive and a lil Italian. The richness of the cheese is offset by the freshness of the herbs and the raw tomatoes. Not to mention they are so easy to assemble 783ecbc674d542c45bd1bbc2d7e731c6.jpg
  6. Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese and Cucumber Bites. Fresh, clean and on a stick. Hope you don’t mind the salmon breathe 😉 PS if you don’t want to use the cream cheese, try plain greek yogurt with some herbs for your spread
  7. Figs Stuffed with Goat Cheese. Drizzled with a lil bit of honey, these are rich and sweet but always a hit.
  8. Banana Split Sticks. Fresh fruit, a lil dark chocolate and some crunchy peanuts brings this classic dessert to your pre or post dinner finger food table. What are the seasons? Banana-Split-Bites.jpg
  9. Sea Salt Chocolate Almonds. Use any nut you want, but these scream finger food. Just make sure a handful doesn’t become a mountain.
  10. Sweet Potato Fries. Cut up some thick steak fries, drizzle with a lil olive oil, sprinkle with your seasonings of choice and bake them up at 450, turning once, until they are to your liking.
  11. Cranberry Brie Mini Tarts. Cranberries just scream Christmas and these are again very easy to just throw together and the brie brings an elegance to these 3-ingredient bites. IMG_7399.jpg
  12. Beet Salad On A Stick. Who needs to save the salad for the meal when you can have it on a stick?
  13. Chocolate Covered Mandarins. Melt some dark chocolate and dip your Christmas oranges into it and let them set in the fridge. Such a classic flavour pairing.
  14. Sweet Potato Rounds With Herbed Ricotta and Cranberries. Festive? Check. Colourful? Check. Fancy-Smancy…Check. Sounds like a winner. a904da0b9e610631cd48bea6e846b0d1.jpg
  15. Spiced Nuts. Them nuts are just so easy and so munchable

  18. Mediterranean Cucumber Roll Ups. These hit you with a good dose of fiber to keep you satisfied while still being in those Christmas colours and full of flavour.
  19. Watermelon Salad On A Stick. Have you ever tried this salt and sweet flavour twist? tumblr_inline_na0ao9gWN41qegdz0.jpg

What will you be munchin’ on this Christmas?

Top 25’s For 5

My Friends My Friends!

Its officially the top 5 day countdown until Christmas and I wanted to commit myself to doing something fun for zee blog so I thought maybe it would be cool and interesting to do a list of ’25 things’ for each of the five days leading up to and including Christmas.

What do you think?

I’m running a bit short on interesting topics to choose from though, I mean 25 is a lot but I wanna give it a good shot. Soooo help me out my friends!

I also don’t want it to be topics that you have seen many times before…

ie. top 25 things about me

top 25 Christmas Songs

I want them to be interesting and USEFUL to you. So I’m doing the topic below today and perhaps one on healthy Christmas appetizers or finger foods that a student can throw together. I thought that one would be interesting because those finger foods are almost always fried and well, not the best. So if I can round up a good number of healthy and EASY ones, maybe you might have some room for the dinner after the munchies. 😉

How does that sound?

Either way, let me know what you think and give me some ideas that you would like to see.

So the topic for today..

14. Foot Gloss Apparently it prevents blisters…Hmmm interesting. Check it out.

15. Half Toe Socks. These would be great for Yoga or Barre or even things like dance classes for those who want to work barefoot but really don’t want to commit to the whole BARE foot thing with those nasty-ass floors.

16. Natural Peanut Butter Stirrer. OMG this is hilarious. Oily mess no more or just a funny stuffer for your peanut butter addict friend.

17. Shark Tea Infuser. How fun is this tea infuser!

18. Hair Ties. Us ladies ALWAYS need more of these. I swear my backpack eats them.

19. Spiral Slicer. Zoodles for all and for under 20 bucks!

20. Foot Rubz. Tired feetsies need a lil massage? Try these lil guys out.

21. Wordlock. Never remember numbers? How about words.

22. Grid Mini. Want a foam roller that is not as tall as you are? These mini’s are perfect for carting around.

23. Facial Cleansers. I actually love this brand and have used it in the past. Very fresh and I love that they don’t have those nasties in it and its a more natural product.

24. Pocket Bands. Perfect for those who don’t want to carry their keys. Wear them!

25. Run Like A Girl Running Necklace. Super Cute. Wish there was a Lift Like a Girl One

Did I miss any important ones on your wish list?

Comment at me 😀

What Exams? Friday Favs

Happy Happy Friday Friends.

Well, Friday evening. I have been busy up until now doing something very important

No shame here, I had four hours of sleep last night due to my exam making 100% sure that I remembered it was the next morning -_-

Don’t you hate that?

Anyways, that is the first of my list of Friday Favs

1. IM DONE EXAMS! WEoooooooo.

Who’s there with me?

Oh and a happy, blissful 3 weeks off for me. Filled with family, shopping, friends, napping, Maggie,…

Oh and that lil thing called…

2. Christmas!

You have no idea how awesome it is to feel as if you can actually start to celebrate. Anyone else feel like they can’t be excited until they are officially done despite it now being like 5 days away…<- OMG thats crazy!

Things to do:

~Christmas nails with my Mom

~Baking with my Mom

~Watching the VS Fashion show with my Mom

~Main Tree with my Mom

~Rocking out only the best Christmas Album ever with My Destiny’s Child 8 Days of Christmas (which I’m actually currently singing along to as I write to you all). Love it.

Wow if we weren’t so close you would think my Mom would be sick of me within one day.

Also on the list, and actually is set in stone for tomorrow is another favourite…

3. Tradition.

Nana and Papa + Chelsea Christmas Date types of traditions

These are the things I love. The things I look forward to. Every year (without fail!) my parents go for their Christmas date and so ever since I can remember my Nana and Papa and I would also have our ‘date’ at Swiss Chalet.

Fancy place?

They have damn good chicken though!

But I look forward to it every year and put it top on my priority list. It makes them happy. I makes me incredibly happy to have that tradition with them as we are so close and to see my Nana say  over and over again how much she loves our date makes me melt.

I think it’s such a big deal to see your grandparents as much as possible and that’s not just because they are getting older (85+) but also because family should be a priority and I’m truly blessed that I have the relationship with them that I do.

My Mom always tells me how the first time my parents left me alone was with them and as nervous they were (first time parents syndrome) to leave me, she will never forget the image of my Nana dancing with me in the living room window as they pulled away from our house.

Something I wish I could have witnessed. To be honest, it would probably make me cry.

This year, I’m treating them to some Baskins after too 😉

Ice cream gains all around!

4. Speaking of lovin..

I love my housemates.

Early Christmas pressies all around. For my tea addict self, Em got me this absolutely beautiful mug from Davids Tea. Notice how it matches my onesie I rocked out in a previous post. Apparently I’m a penguin lover 😀

Oh that lil box of golden goodness? Saffron my friends. Rita you outdid yourself. I have never had it before but have wanted to try it. I’m just too cheap to buy it for myself (it’s the most expensive herb in the world) and now I’m trying to figure out the perfect way to utilize this delicate beauty.

Any ideas that doesn’t include saffron rice?

I handpicked Em a box of truffles because Emily + chocolate = ❤ and for Rita and her honey, loving sweet tooth…

A random spotting at GoodnessMe! This is local wild honey that is flavoured with blueberries! It smelt amazing (yes we both smell things right off the bat HA!) and so I hope she loves it.

5. Feelin so Fresh and Clean

To give myself a lil self lovin (aside from the wonderful and much needed nap time..) I ‘treated’ myself to a haircut and my hair feels so much better now!

Stress ain’t a good look for anyone. Dat flat hair problem.

But it’s all good now…

I also say ‘treated’ because I didn’t pay for my hair cut per say..

6. Monnies back in my pocket

I used the 165 bucks (not all of it, some also went to quest bars 😉 I got back  from my textbooks for my hair.

So thats like it being free right? It’s like money I never had.

Logical Reasoning 101.

Ha more like this…

Money I never knew I had officially becomes money I never keep apparently..

Another Friday Favourite?

Relaxing evenings and an early bedtime because hey, I can!

So I bid you ado all. I hope your Friday was fantastic and that you’re enjoying some time off of the studying and can embrace all things Christmas.

Linking up with Heather so check out her favs as well over at Life In Leggings!

Christmas is about giving (monetary or non-monetary), but what is one thing you did for yourself this week?

What traditions do you live for?

Anyone else thing textbooks should be a rental fee (aka I get all the money back I paid for them) kinda thing. I mean for real who actually needs those things after you are done with the semester?
